VOSS Structural Engineering, PLLC. is a structural engineering firm located in Frankfort, Illinois. Our engineers have experience in construction, understanding field issues, and working with contractors and owners to find the best solution for both design and construction. Our project scopes range from sizing a single piece of wood or steel to complete building design. We work with new designs as well as remodels, structural upgrades, and changes of use. We also perform structural observations and critical inspections. Our experience includes design with steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and aluminum. We have an extensive knowledge of a variety of building codes, given by our broad geographical base; we are dedicated to upholding the codes in the entire design to ensure the minimum required standards of safety are met and help the permitting process run smoothly.

OUR HISTORY

VOSS Structural Engineering, PLLC. is a new structural engineering firm founded in the summer of 2022. Frank Voss, owner and founder of VOSS Structural Engineering, PLLC. was previously a structural engineer for GRC Engineering, Inc. in Oak Forest, Illinois. During his 19 years at GRC, he gained valuable experience on a wide range of projects. He obtained PE or SE licenses for numerous states and designed buildings and structures around the country. Many of the project photographs of this site are projects he worked on in various capacities during his time at GRC. When GRC stopped taking on new engineering projects in August of 2022, Frank Voss founded VOSS Structural Engineering, PLLC hopeful to service the many repeat clients he had previously. We are starting with two engineers, formerly from GRC, and a great relationship with the owner of GRC who will still handle CAD services for VOSS.
